Black Pear promotion to keep care plans, health records and QuickFHIR on track for the NHS

Black Pear has a razor-sharp new Chief Operating Officer to keep us focussed on the electronic health records and care plans the NHS needs.

We promoted Tiffany Hodkinson to the role from Operations Manager and she will ensure our HL7 FHIRⓇ-enabled solutions are up to scratch for the health service. Tiff will liaise with our tech, accounts and finance teams to ensure our care plans and digital records are in tune with clients’ needs as well as upholding quality assurance standards. She was the perfect candidate having notched up an impressive CV over 24 years in healthtec including helping implement one of the first Windows solutions for GPs.

Tiff, who has been with us since the start having had spells with Apollo and Torex, said:

“I’m really pleased. It was completely out of the blue for me, but although it is a big job it’s not daunting because I have been with the company since the start. You know the absolute full history of everything as you’ve seen it grow around you.”

Tiff will help ensure smooth delivery of our current product range which includes Core Care Records, Care Plans and Appointments as well as QuickFHIR. But she will also keep an eye on the next solutions our clients and partners in health and care need.

Tiff, who is an AWS certified practitioner, said:

“I think our future strategy is extremely exciting. What we can do with AWS and QuickFHIR is quite incredible. I feel we are just scratching the surface at the moment – it is so powerful. I love the cutting edge side of Black Pear, because we are at the front with the technology. This is great when you are liaising with clients because of what we can offer them.”

Tiff got to work as Chief Operating Officer last month (Feb) after two years as Operations Manager before which she was a Deployments Manager after joining in 2010. She has worked with many of the team in her previous roles before coming aboard Black Pear.

Tiff said:

“I feel like Black Pear is a family – it’s got that feel to it. I look at everyone as more than just colleagues and I’m very excited to see where we go from here.”
