Black Pear appoints Chief Financial Officer
Our 2019 has got off to a bang with a high flying former Deutsche Bank Finance Director joining the team.
Liz Horler is bringing her experience at some of the biggest names in finance and investment to Black Pear to help us grow the business.
She has to her name a stint as FD to Deutsche Bank’s Global Logistics Services (GLS) as well as being Group Financial Controller at both SEGRO plc and London Merchant Securities plc.
As our new Chief Financial Officer, Liz is coming in-house to help us make the vital strategic decisions needed to deliver for the NHS.
On swapping a financial giant for a tech start-up, Liz said:
Black Pear is incredibly innovative – they really are at the forefront of their industry.
My role will be helping them in making the decisions to achieve their potential. The advantage of joining a smaller business is your role is much more direct, you can really see the impact you have.
Like all of our team Liz has a personal connection with the NHS as her mum worked as a theatre nurse and she also harboured ambitions in medicine.
She said:
I know a bit about the NHS, and I have always been a big supporter of it.
This was a big factor in wanting to work for Black Pear, I find what they do really interesting and it’s nice to help work for the health service’s future.
But also, they are just a really nice group of people to work with.
