Core Care Plans is centrally funded under the GP Systems of Choice (GPSoC) framework
Black Pear is thrilled to announce it is improving the care of two million more patients after the NHS selected one of its flagship products for central funding. The team worked tirelessly to get Core Care Plans onto the GP Systems of Choice (GPSoC) framework in August. It is one of a select group of systems the NHS has approved centrally and agreed to fund, greatly simplifying the process for surgeries seeking to adopt it.
GPSoC approval has already seen a massive surge in practices adopting Core Care Plans and patients are benefiting from its ability to give the right clinicians the right information at the right time. Its rapid adoption is set to continue into the New Year with Clinical Commissioning Groups (CCGs) covering three million further patients joining us early in 2019.
The GPSoC framework aims to accelerate GPs’ adoption of technology the NHS has deemed vital to combat the challenges our healthcare system faces. To achieve this all GPSoC solutions are given the green light centrally so practices can adopt them without carrying out lengthy procurement procedures. And, as Core Care Plans falls into GPSoC Lot 1 – a category that is entirely centrally funded – they do not have to stretch already thin budgets to adopt our technology.
One of our two leading products, Core Care Plans integrates all care providers’ information around the needs of the patient. It allows clinicians to view a patient record composed of live data from multiple systems and then instantly send the outcome of their consultation back to each of those systems. No other solution available on the NHS offers this. It achieves this by utilising the public cloud and HL7 FHIR – a standardised system for exchanging medical data. HL7 FHIR allows data to be shared across every health and care provider in one format. Combined with the use of the public cloud this means relevant notes are continuously available to the right clinician wherever they are.
Put simply, Core Care Plans allows care providers to:
- Create integrated care records, care plans and workflows at anytime and anywhere
- Share that information across all services on those plans
- Update those on the plan with the patient’s progress and critical information
The technology behind Core Care Plans has near infinite configurations for sharing healthcare data. From End of Life care plans to Type 2 Diabetes management, it is already helping clinicians to make informed decisions quickly and safely. We plan to build on these solutions and continue to improve the integration of healthcare around the patient.
