HANDI launches in Newcastle
I’m pleased to announce that we’ll be speaking at the HANDI launch workshop in Newcastle on 9th May.
HANDI is a new not-for-profit venture – The Healthcare App Network for Development and Innovation – supporting creation and adoption of lightweight healthcare apps for patients, carers and health and care professionals and thereby enabling IT to transform health and care.
Black Pear Software have released two health care apps. The iRIS app for iPad uses the myHealthFile platform to provide a complete clinic management and workflow system developed in conjunction with retinal specialists for wet AMD clinics. The FIRSTLight app for iPhone and iPad is a decision support tool providing reliable drug information at the point of care. In creating these applications we have gained valuable experience in app development that we would like to share, including agile methods, prototyping and operating a distributed, cross-organisational team.
